On 23-25 November in Vienna is held an international conference "Archives on the Web - Experiences, Challenges, Visions", organized by the International Center for Archival Research ICARUS, in cooperation with the Austrian State Archives and the Archives of the Bishopric of St. Pölten. The conference involved the Chief Deputy Director of the Polish Head Office of State Archives Dr. Barbara Berska, who will deliver a speech "Educational Activities of Polish Archives in the Web".

The meetings in several sections will be devoted to discuss the following issues:

• Current and future challenges for archives in the web;
• European network, in rchival cooperation a;
• Problems of the digitization of archives;
•  Access to electronic documents;
• The role of archives in research.
